Cover of the week: The Question #1 by Bill Sienkiewicz

Question (1988 series) #1

Question (1988 series) #1

Dennis O’Neil and Denys Cowan’s  The Question was one of those memorable series showing how 1980’s was the period in which American mainstream comic-books started targeting broader audiences, creating series and formats for more adult readers.
The curious thing about this cover is that doesn’t matter how good the Bill Sienkiewicz’s cover was it wasn´t used for the Spanish edition of the series

[1]  I cannot recommend this Wikipedia article very much, as I recognized (and fixed)  some wrong info at first sight.

Curiosities: Nexus by Matt Wagner (fan mail)

June 2nd, 2009

When indexing Nexus #6 (Capital Comics, 1983 series) for GCD I found this rare drawing by Grendel’s Matt Wagner in the letters section.

As you can see in the index, the issue is dated in March 1984.

I will try to confirm it was actually made by him (and no one else also called Matt Wagner).

Let’s start this section displaying one of those comics I bought just because the cover was amazing.

Legends of the DC Universe was a very heterogeneous series, with only a few high quality issues, but most covers were very good.

Actually, you will see many of them in this section…
